Local Favorites and Las Vegas Gaming Guide:

Many of our readers are coming to Las Vegas to relax, have a great time and not go broke. If you want to bankroll several thousand dollars and play $100, $1,000 or even $10,000 per hand then you can get comped anywhere you want to play and get treated really well ...

For the rest of us, we are looking for pure entertainment. Coming home from Las Vegas having won enough to cover all of your expenses, meals, lodging and entertainment would be unbelievable. The real key to winning in Las Vegas is to be able to actually still be playing when you do find a "hot" table.

Ways to get "an edge":

Craps

10 - 100x odds in Craps - When you make a pass line bet in Craps, the odds against you are 1/36 or about
2.77%. When you take "odds", you put additional money behind your original bet and if you win, the house pays "True odds" which do not have an additional house edge. When you take full odds, you can reduce the house edge to a mere .3%

Local Favorites for Craps:

Sam's Town - 20 x odds  - $1.00 and $2.00 tables
Henderson Fiesta - 10 x odds w/ $1.00 tables
The Board Walk Casino - $1.00 Tables
Jokers Casino - 100 x odds (50 cent games)
Sahara - $1.00 Craps
Westward Ho - $1.00 Craps

Black Jack

Single Deck Black Jack - When you are playing Black Jack it is much easier to get an edge when playing with a single deck. Even if you don't count cards, just having an understanding of what cards have been played can be huge ... if there have been 4 fives played and the dealer has a 6 showing, odds are he won't get 21. If there haven't been any aces played, it might be a good time to double up your bet.

Local Favorites for Black Jack:

The Long Horn - Single Deck Black Jack, $1.00 Black Jack, $10.00 Daily Tournament
Sahara - Single Deck available, $1.00 Black Jack 24 hours
Westward Ho - $1.00 - $3.00 games
Key Largo - $2.00 Tables
Sam's Town - $2.00 Tables

Roulette

Single Zero Roulette: The only real edge that you can get in Roulette from a statistical stand point is playing single zero roulette. Most of the Single Zero games in Vegas are higher limit games. In some area's, you can find Double Zero wheels that surrender even money bets (Black/Red, Even/Odd, 1-18/19-36). From a practical point of view, many wheels and many dealers can be somewhat predictable. Some dealers like to keep the wheel moving at about the same speed and by the shear repetition of the action, they tend to spin the ball about the same way. If you look at a roulette wheel with the winners posted electronically, you might notice 5 or six numbers in a group and then 4 or 5 numbers in a group ...

From Single 0 - Here are the numbers in order

0 28 9 26 30 11 7 20 32 17 5 22 34 15 3 24 36 13 1

00 27 10 25 29 12 8 19 31 18 6 21 33 16 4 23 35 14 2

If you spot a wheel where several numbers are together, say 7, 32, 22, 5, 20 then there is probably a bias. These are the wheels I like to bet on. I'll typically bet 8 or 9 numbers. If the wheel is tending to come up in groups, I'll play a section of numbers and if the wheel tends to move, I'll play 3 groups of 3 numbers in different section of the wheel - 17,32,20 and 14,23,35 and 18,6,21
